HYBRID UNITS

AMBcool make Hybrid Units offer the best combination of technologies to give the best efficiency and performance all year round. As the name suggests, it is a hybrid (combin- ation) of multi stage air cooling and DX system with the option to choose between either mode depending on the requirement.

In dry season, the machine works as a 2 stage air-washer providing 115% efficiency and cooling the primary air below the ambient wet bulb to provide maximum comfort. In this mode of operation, the machine is working on 100% fresh air.

In humid season, the machine mode can be changed and it can be made to run as a DX system. The evaporative cooling mode is switched off and the machine runs as an air conditioner with the DX coil connected to a condensing unit. The fresh air dampers provi- ded on the unit can be closed to provide a 100% recycled air system with a ducted return or the desired combination of return air and fresh air can be achieved with the fresh and return air dampers.
